"With everything that's going on in the world right now, many friends and clients in my massage therapy practice are opening up about experiencing a new level of anxiety. To be honest, I feel it too. Even with all the tools that yoga has taught me, sometimes I forget to use them. One of my favourite techniques is also a simple one - Long Deep Breathing. Long Deep Breathing is a great tool for connecting with your breath and returning to a sense of calm. To practice Long Deep Breathing, simply find a place where you can sit comfortably, and gently coax a longer inhale and a longer exhale. Close your eyes, if it feels safe to do so.
