The BC Professional Fire Fighters' Association is proud to announce that our President, Todd Schierling — a proud member of IAFF Local 1271 — is officially on the ballot as a candidate for Member of the Legislative Assembly for Delta North.
The BCPFFA Executive Board, alongside Local 1763 (Delta) and Local 1271 (Surrey) — Todd's home local — wholeheartedly endorsed Todd Schierling in his campaign to become the next MLA for Delta North.
Throughout his tenure as President of the BCPFFA, Todd has demonstrated an exceptional record of leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to professional fire fighters, the broader labour movement, and communities across British Columbia. He has fought tirelessly for the health, safety, and rights of front-line emergency personnel at both the provincial and national levels — most recently securing the strongest set of presumptive cancer protections in the country for BC fire fighters.
Todd's deep roots in Delta, where he has lived his entire life, combined with his proven track record as a champion for working people and public safety, make him uniquely qualified to represent the constituents of Delta North. His election as MLA will bring a powerful and experienced voice for first responders — and all workers — into the provincial legislature.
